Blur-an eternal topic
" I've never found anything to be lacking in a blurry canvas. Quite the contrary, you can see more things in it than a sharply focuesd image. A landscape painted with exactness fores you to see a determined number of clearly differentiated trees, while in a blury canvas you can percieve as many trees as you want. The painting is more open."
Alexey Titarenko'street photography conveys an otherwordly artistic vision, using long exposures that made his human subjects appear fragile and ghostly.
Making different layer to blur,to cover,to creat more imaginary space...
The picture on the left was taken by me in Kinsington Palace. The blurrig
of the surface aroused my great interest and reminded me of what would
happen behind the glass.

How should we deal with the mist?Remember?using mask?or Bless?
In the contemporary world, huge amounts of information, like mist,
overwhelm us; however, when people know more, they also know less.
The truth of history, the truth of politics, the truth of religion, all of them
are weaved into a vast network of mist. Is this the corruption of the soul?
The corruption of morality? Or because it is the best anesthesia for human
civilization?
At first, I wanted to show people how to remove the mist. It was a fierce task,
but I soon realized that this may be reduced to a kind of emotion catharsis.
Thinking deeply, I felt that throughout the course of history there are always
brilliant things like the beacon of mist and the progress of human civilization
that have not been lost. This glory may be the good nature behind humanity.
The devout faith or the wise man’s myth. However, in the creative process,
I found that the meaning of glory is different for everyone. When people
encounter the mist, their free will drives us to react differently. This forced
me to reflect on my initial thoughts and quietly converge my personality into
my work carefully examining people’s various states while under the heavy
fog, mesmerized, struggling, being safe or contemplating.
Experiments of Wax
Test the intensity and transparency of
difierent wax.
I tried to use wax to create the misty visual effect. Throughout repeated
attempts, I had selected several different types and brands of waxes for
comparison and I found that wax has a strong plasticity, randomness and
ductility. By using different wax ratios, temperature, or even the reaction
of the wax caused by air, I had obtained different visual effects to represent
what people look like in the mist. Perhaps when we are in the mist, we will
constitute the lightest and heaviest gesture of mankind, both real and unreal.
